REC sports are an important program offered by Greenheck Turner Community Center.  We have grown our programs over the past century with the support of volunteer coaches, committed parents and energetic youth. Online registration is required through Team Sideline, our registration software. Please visit the following link to register: https://teamsideline.com/sites/greenheckturner/home. Those that already have a Team Sideline username & password, you may sign in and register using those credentials.  If you are new to Team Sideline, please create an account for yourself, add any children, then complete the registration.   If you are new to our programming, please follow the instructions to create a new account and register. Youth Recreational Swim Club - Opening soon....... 

NEW! Our Youth Recreational Swim Team is designed for youth swimmers who are comfortable in the water and are interested in improving their skills in a fun, team-oriented environment.  Participants will focus on stroke technique, building endurance, and gaining confidence through structured practices. Swimmers will be introduced to the fundamentals of competitive swimming, including all 4 strokes, starts, and turns, while building teamwork and good sportsmanship. This is a recreational program- emphasis is placed on personal improvement and enjoyment over competition. 

This session will conclude with a fun, low pressure intramural swim meet, giving swimmers the opportunity to experience a competitive setting and showcase their progress.

DISCLAIMER: This program is intended for swimmers who can independently swim at least 25 years of the pool unassisted and understand swim strokes.

SUMMER SOCCER  ($57)

  • Participants will be organized into teams and games will be scheduled on weekday evenings. Age 4, Kindergarten and 1st Grade levels will have practice time & a game built into their 1-hour time slot. 2nd Grade and older will play their game for the entire hour. Practices for these levels will be scheduled at the coach's discretion and could be held prior to a game or on a separate day/time than the scheduled game.
  • Age 4 participants must turn 4 years old by July 6, 2026 and not attending Kindergarten in the fall.

This program relies on 100% parent volunteer coaches. All head coaches will receive a $20 credit to their Team Sideline account as a thank you for their time. Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team.

Program Information: Join Coach Oliver Drake this spring for a high- energy basketball skills program designed to help young athletes build confidence and improve their game. His sessions emphasize mastering the fundamentals through repetition, attention to detail, and a fun competitive environment.  

His philosophy is simple: "You Can't Get Bored with the Basics".

Not specific to DCE.  All dancers are welcome. Want higher kicks, stronger hip flexibility, and better control? This focused 6-week technique series is designed to help dancers build strength, flexibility, and muscle control needed for powerful kick lines and clean technique. Dancers will work on hip flexibility, kick technique, strength training, and proper stretching methods to safely improve range of motion and control. Looking to improve flexibility, power, and turn control? Join our 6-week technique accelerator designed to help dancers build stronger splits, higher leaps, and more controlled turns. This focused training series will help dancers gain strength, flexibility, and confidence heading into summer camps, future auditions, and prepping to be their best selves. Girls Rising Star Running Club ($45) 

The DCE Rising Stars Girl's Running Camp is designed to increase confidence and empower young girls to build connections through running and movement patterns, endurance, strength & mobility activities, and health knowledge & skills.  Campers will participate in age & ability appropriate running activities & games, as well as interactive lessons valuing relationships and teamwork.  This program will be guided by current coaches and high school competitive runners. We will be serving snacks during this program, and participants will be going off site during their runs, accompanied by the coaches.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL SKILLS & DRILLS CLOSED

Sundays in April & May 

Instruction will be provided by the D.C Everest coaching staff and players. The clinic is open to 3-6th grade girls of any ability who wish to learn more about this exciting sport. Instruction will include basic skills, strategy and team play.  Skills that will be taught include serving, passing, setting, blocking and defensive strategies.  Participants will also be able to develop their skills in fun game-like situations.

ADULT PICKLEBALL LADDER LEAGUE CLOSED

Our spring ladder league is a fun way to meet new people and play competitively, regardless of your skill level. Your scores each week will determine if you move up or down the ladder. A schedule will be posted when you arrive each week. Before registering, please plan on committing to play the entire 5-week session as the ladder only works when everyone is present.  REGISTER HERE.
Participants will play two sets of 3 games each night (6 total games). Scores after the first set of 3 games will determine movement either up or down the ladder. Then we will play 3 more games and the scores from those games will establish new ladder positions for play the following week. All games are played as doubles, but your scores will count individually for the ladder. Participants will play with a different partner each game.

YOUTH INDOOR SOCCER  $45 per participant CLOSED

All Participants will be divided into teams. Each team will meet for 1 hour each Sunday. Included in that hour will be 15-20 minutes of practice with their coach followed up by a game with another team for the remainder of the hour. Our Soccer program is fun for both kids and adults! Parents- your help is greatly appreciated and essential to the success of the program.

Please consider becoming involved by volunteering to coach or assistant coach. No soccer experience is necessary. Please select the volunteer button below to register yourself (or spouse). Coaches meeting tentatively planned for Wednesday, Jan 28, 2026. Details will be shared prior to the meeting.

Join us for an exciting Youth Softball Clinic designed for players of all skill levels! This clinic focuses on teaching essential softball skills, fostering a love for the game, and encouraging teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. Who Can Join: Players currently in Kindergarten through 8th Grade are welcome to participate, whether they're just starting or looking to sharpen their skills. What to Bring: • Softball glove & bat (only needed during hitting session) • Water Bottle • Athletic Clothing and molded cleats or tennis shoes.

Skills practice is necessary for all players, regardless of age and ability. This program will be run as a clinic/camp with coaches providing instruction on the fundamentals of the game. We'll work on ball handling, passing, shooting, layups, teamwork as well as the rules of the game. We'll also introduce game play in the older levels. Instruction will be led by the D.C. Everest high school coaching staff and players. Positive, supportive environment where girls can learn and have fun. Played at the GTCC Gym & DCE Middle School. Registration closes on December 5th.

Want to try something new and exciting? Try the lightning fast sport of SPEED Lacrosse. Come out and learn the game of Lacrosse at the Greenheck Turner Community Center on the new Turf. A great way to learn the fundamentals of the game including scooping, cradling, passing and shooting all while having a lot of fun. This will be a non-contact program. Future Lacrosse Heroes is a Co-Ed league and will include a combination of introductory skills/drills along with weekly small sided lacrosse 4v4 games. No prior experience is required. With limited equipment needed, and sticks provided, why not give it a try? Registration closes on December 5th.

Experience the first Olympic 6's style Lacrosse League in the area!  Come and be a part of the fast paced and exciting style of lacrosse on Sunday's in February and March! Its a perfect opportunity for players to get sticks back in their hands, regain their speed, connect with teammates and increase awareness and agility in preparation for the season.

There are no referees so you will call your own fouls.  This is REC pick-up soccer, no scores will be kept.  Keep it fun and respectful!

There will be no refs so you will call you own fouls. Pinnies will be provided, and you must sign the waiver when you arrive. No score will be kept. Keep the games fun and respectful!

Our Winter Youth Flag Football program is for young athletes.  A fun and safe way to stay active during the colder months. This indoor league is a perfect opportunity to learn, play and enjoy flag football in a supportive environment. This is a recreational league; scores will not be kept. Participants will be sorted on to teams and play games on the evening of the program dates. There will be no additional practice time outside of game nights, practice is going to be prior to the games. This program needs parent volunteer coaches. This program does not have referees.
There are limited spots available (due to space limitations).

Wednesdays January 21, 28 and February 4, 11, 18, 25. 

YOUTH KICKBALL ON THE TURF   $45 per participant CLOSED

Our Youth Kickball program is the perfect way for kids to stay active, make new friends and learn the value of teamwork- all while having a blast! Format: Participants will be divided into teams and will meet every Tuesday night for a game. Kickball is easy to learn and fun for all skill levels. It’s a great introduction to team sports and a favorite for all ages. The exact schedule will depend on registration numbers, but we are planning on games starting at 6 PM. This is a recreational program; no score will be kept. Program communications will be sent via Team Sideline email. Please reference our Friend Request & Team Formation Policy if you wish to make a friend request this season. All requests must be mutual. Kickball is open to boys & girls in kindergarten through 5th grade. 

Tuesdays.  February 17,24 and March 3,10,17 in the evenings.

ADULT OPEN PICKLEBALL $8 NOT ACTIVE RIGHT NOW

Drop in and come play pickleball at the Greenheck Turner Community Center Tuesday mornings starting November 4th!  All skills are welcome.  Bring your paddles! We will provide the balls and nets.

SENIOR GOLF    $55 per session THIRD SESSION AVAILABLE

Our winter golf league is a fun way to meet new people and work on your golf skills. Each week you will play a different course in the golf simulators. This League is for 55+ adults. FORMAT Each individual will play 1 round (9 holes) for 2 hours. There will be 4 individuals per simulator, and you will rotate between each turn. You will report you score at the end of each day. Scores will be tallied up at the end of each session.  8:00-10:00 AM.

Walk-A-Marathon.  $45 per adult

Challenge yourself this winter by walking a marathon! Format: You have 12 weeks to complete 26. 2 miles on the Greenheck Turner Community Center's new walking track. Registered participants laps will be tracked during the duration of the program. You will receive a T-Shirt upon Completion Benefits of walking include improvements to your cardiovascular health, bone strength and mental health. *This is a great option to come in and walk without committing to a membership or paying each time. Recreation staff will assist in tracking the laps you walk each week.

WIFFLE BALL LEAGUE $45 per participant CLOSED

Our wiffle ball program is open to girls & boys attending 3rd - 6th grade in the fall of 2025.  Wiffle Ball is a variation of baseball, played with a plastic bat and perforated, plastic ball.  Join us Monday nights on the turf for a friendly variation of this backyard classic!  Players will be placed on teams randomly, no requests will be accepted for placement.  All grades will play together. We will supply balls and bats, no other equipment is necessary.  Cleats are recommended but not required. High school coaches and players will be assisting teams. Registration closes October 27. Speed & Performance Session II. $55 per session 

This program will offer a wide range of movement patterns for all ages that will include flexibility/mobility, power/strength, speed/efficiency within selected patterns.  We will use the planes of motion and will develop an understanding of how the hips and ankles work to make faster, more explosive athletes.  Participants will be engaged while following along with a specific method of training to encourage growth and development in speed and agility.  They will develop body control and movement patterns to help them grow through their high school years.  The goal is to develop better movers.  On the turf.

Flag Football CLOSED

Our flag football program is back for another action-packed season! You must register your child for the grade they will attend in Fall of 2025 (not current grade).  Games will take place on Saturday mornings with weekday evening practices.  Our flag football program is fun for both kids and adults!  Please consider becoming involved by volunteering to coach or assistant coach. No experience is necessary!  Boys & Girls.  No residency requirement.  Practices: Coaches will contact their individual teams regarding practice dates and times. Practices will occur on weekday evenings at the discretion of coaches.

Fall Outdoor Youth Soccer CLOSED

Fall soccer will be structured the same as our indoor program except we will be OUTSIDE!  Fall soccer is open to boys & girls Age 4- 5th Grade in Fall 2025 (not current grade).  Participants will be divided into teams and will meet for one hour each Sunday for skills practice followed by a soccer game.  The exact schedule will depend on registration numbers, but we are tentatively planning between Noon-5 pm. This is a recreational soccer program, no soccer experience is necessary. Rib Mountain Rampage- Lacrosse Tournament - March 1, 2025 (CLOSED)
The first Olympic 6's style lacrosse tournament in the area for high school level players!  Come experience this fast paced and exciting style of lacrosse on Saturday, March 1, 2025.  It is a perfect opportunity for players to get back in the mix, regain their speed, connect with teammates and increase awareness/agility as the 2025 season begins. Separate divisions will be offered for Girls Varsity, Girls JV, Boys Varsity, Boys JV with all teams guaranteed 3 games of at least 40 minutes of play.  Expect energized, intense competition as players face off 6 v 6 in (4) 8-minute quarters.  One draw per quarter and play continues with a goalie's clear following a goal.  This keeps the game running at full speed, providing real game experience with maximum player touches.
Who: Girls Varsity & JV, Boys Varsity & JV
Roster Size: 8 to 14 players per team
Fee: $500 per team if registered by 12/31/24.  $600 per team for registrations received after the deadline.

Limited space is available in each division so register early to ensure a spot for your team!

The Wisconsin 4v4 Indoor Soccer Championships are on December 7-8th, 2024! (CLOSED)
All games will be played at the new Greenheck Turner Community Center, Wisconsin's premier indoor facility.  Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of (3) 25-minute games and all games will be played in a 6 hour time block.
