This spacious center offers high quality equipment with a variety of bikes, treadmills, free weights and weight machines. Personal training and group accountability are available for those who would like extra assistance and motivation while achieving your personal best. Monthly memberships start at $7 and options are available for families and couples.
The current Fieldhouse can accomodate 3 basketball or volleyball courts as well as indoor training for sports and leagues. This space can be used as three separate courts or combined for one large area. During the winter and spring seasons, many high school sports teams practice indoors including soccer, softball, baseball and track. REC youth sports also uses these courts often.
The ice arena is an Olympic-sized ice, 100 by 200 feet. Clearance from the ceiling to the bottom beam measures 32 feet and a suspended, radiant heating system provides warmth for up to 1,3500 spectators on wooden bleachers. The concession stand is easily accessible and provides a full menu. DC Everest High School Hockey uses this as their home ice along with Everest Youth Hockey (EYH) and Timerbline Figure Skating Club. Public Skates are often as possible and provide families the opportunity to skate, at a very affordable rate. Skates are available for rental, while supplies last.
Youth recreation sports are an important program offered by the Greenheck Turner Community Center. We have grown our programs over the past century with the support of volunteer coaches, committed parents and energetic youth.
